An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Director at the Suffolk Agricultural Association
The Suffolk Agricultural Association (owners of Trinity Park, a circa 300-acre site east of Ipswich) is a registered charity whose purpose is to promote and encourage the advancement and improvement of agriculture. It does this by delivering a range of educational events, most notably the annual two-day Suffolk Show. In November 2023 the Association was very proud to have been awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) recognising the work of its many volunteers who deliver education.
Trinity Park Events Limited (TPEL) is the Association’s wholly owned subsidiary which operates to create additional income streams in support of the charitable objectives of the Association. Also, the Association has significant reserves managed by CCLA.
The Association is now seeking to employ a Finance Director (a new post) who will direct and oversee financial activities (including audit and all statutory requirements), the preparation of financial reports and forecasts, the provision of consistent, robust, and expert financial advice to the Chief Executive and Trustees, provision of an effective financial management service to the charity acting as the leading finance interface between management and Trustees.
The Postholder will ensure the Association has effective IT systems and performance management tools and will work in close collaboration with colleagues within the staff team to ensure that strategic and operational objectives are achieved, maintained and developed. Working to the postholder will be an Accounts and Administration Assistant (part time).
