Food and Farming Student Day

View the video on the range of career opportunities available within the agricultural industry.

The next Food and Farming Student Day will take place on Wednesday 15 June 2022.

The Food and Farming Student Day is held at Hollow Trees Farm, Semer, Ipswich and is organised by the Suffolk Agricultural Association, Hollow Trees Farm and Suffolk New College.

Overall, there are over 200 careers within the agricultural industry and we hope to expand the knowledge of students aged 13 - 16 years old to help them develop themselves for their future careers.

For 13 - 16 year olds, the day consists of a number of hands on interactive workshops that are designed to give the students information on the careers within agricultural and food industries as well as learn about possible careers in wildlife and conservation areas.

Incorporating a great range of materials including the many ways in which Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths are all involved in the running of agricultural activities and career opportunities.
