Enjoy the Suffolk Skills Zone at the Suffolk Show kindly sponsored by Suffolk New College
The Skills Zone gives young show-goers a chance to show off their skills - 2025 visitors will experience a vast array of industries, skills and fun activities.
| Science, Public services and forensics | Join the forensic science team from Suffolk New College to carry out a crime scene investigation. Join a Forensic Anthropology dig, collect fingerprints and watch a variety of different experiments |
| Hair and Beauty | They will be providing nail art, hair braiding, hand massages and hair chalks |
| Health and Social Care | Have a go at caring for a pretend hospital patient |
| Creative Arts | They will be running hands-on creative activities throughout the day |
| Tech | Join the Suffolk New College tech team for a range of activities throughout the day |
| Painting and Decorating | Demos from West Suffolk College and Suffolk New College |
| Tile Walls | Have a go area and write a message on the tile to add to the collage created on the wall |
| Brickwork | Demonstrations from West Suffolk College and Suffolk New College showing a range of bricklaying techniques |
| Carpentry | Demonstrate different aspects of bench and site carpentry along with the opportunity to have a go at making some bird feeders and bug houses |
| Skills Activity Area from Suffolk New College | Scaletrix, foam bricklaying, bird box making (to take home), push and fit plumbing, sandpit, giant connect 4, buzzer wire |
