SAA Autumn Horse Show Returns for Third Year - 15 July 2017
The Suffolk Agricultural Association, a registered charity, is pleased to announce that following the success of last year’s Autumn Horse Show, the 2017 event will be held on Sunday 10th September. Championed and organised by members of the Suffolk Show team, the event will, once again, be a fundraiser to support the SAA’s educational initiatives, principally the School Farm and Country Fair.
The School Farm and Country Fair is an educational event and aims to promote awareness of key aspects of food production, farming and the countryside amongst seven to nine year olds. Children attend with their schools free of charge and it is the Association’s aim that every primary school child in Suffolk should be able to attend the event on at least one occasion. The cost for schools to attend is free and they also receive a grant towards their transport costs. Around 4,500 children take part each year, with a long waiting list for places.
The Autumn Horse Show gives the local equestrian community the opportunity to ride in the ‘famous’ Suffolk Show rings. Created to give amateur riders, of all levels, a chance to compete, the schedule will include classes for showing, jumping, and working hunters; there will also be qualifying classes for Equifest. A number of fun novelty classes will complete the equestrian mix. SAA members receive a discounted entry fee.
The organisers are extremely grateful to all the sponsors who have helped to make this event possible, particularly Gotelee Solicitors, who have once again supported the event as principal sponsor.
Entries close on 1 September 2017 and discounted entry fees are available until this date. Late entries will be accepted on the day at an increased fee.
