Suffolk Agricultural Apprentice of the Year

Agricultural Apprentice of the Year  supported by Suffolk New College

Open to any level agriculture apprenticeship, but at time of applying must have completed at least six months of their apprenticeship.  All applicants must have an apprenticeship placement in Suffolk.

Winner to receive: Trophy and framed certificate which will be awarded at the Suffolk Show  (members admission tickets for two will be provided).  The winner and a guest will be invited to the SAA Awards Dinner in October 2025 to be re-presented with their award.

Agricultural Allied Industry Apprentice of the Year

Open to any level apprenticeship, but at time of applying must have completed at least six months of their apprenticeship.  All applicants must have an apprenticeship placement in Suffolk, within the agricultural allied industry.

Examples may be: Landbased Service Engineers, Business Support (including HR, Finance, Customer Service, Digital Marketing, IT & Digital Support), Butcher, as well as Transport and Warehouse Operations, Rural Surveying, Sales and Purchasing, Research too.

Those entering the Allied Industry Apprentice must be employed by a landbased employer or for an organisation that directly serves the farming community.

To enter the competition, the apprentice's employer will complete the questionnaire outlining why the apprentice should be considered for the award.  The apprentice will also complete a short video entry describing their role and ambitions.
