Competition Details - How to Enter

The competition is open to apprentices with a Suffolk employer who is currently studying for an agriculturally related apprenticeship. (eg Arable, Livestock, Production Horticulture, Agricultural  Engineering and Game and Wildlife Management).

This prestigious award is an accolade which the winner can use to enhance their cv and help with future job prospects. It will also raise the profile of Agricultural Apprenticeships and Careers within the County.

To enter applicants are asked to submit a homemade video (e.g. made on a smart phone) not exceeding five minutes in duration which covers the following:

  • A brief introduction about themselves
  • Why they selected to do an apprenticeship
  • How the apprenticeship has helped prepare them for being a full time employee
  • The key new skills they have gained
  • An assessment from their employer

Those shortlisted will meet a panel of judges.

The winner and runner up will be presented with their prizes at the Suffolk Show.

The Winner receives:

A Trophy

£100

A chainsaw users course at Easton & Otley College

A certificate

Two tickets to the Suffolk Show

 

The Runner up receives:

£50

A certificate

Two tickets to the Suffolk Show

Entry Information

All entries are required to use ‘Dropbox’ or ‘We transfer’ to load their videos (further details of these services available at https://www.dropbox.com/  and https://www.wetransfer.com/ ) . Links to these videos to be sent to marketing@eastonotley.ac.uk. Please do not send your video direct to the marketing e-mail box as it will be rejected due to restricted file capacity. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to confirm receipt so please ensure contact details are included.
