International Women’s Day comment from Bee Kemball, Suffolk Show director - 8 March 2017

Bee Kemball, the first female director of the Suffolk Show in its 185-year history, said: “It’s a huge honour to be custodian of the Suffolk Show for the next three years. Being female, I feel it’s very much more about me upholding the success of previous shows and building on our fantastic attractions to appeal to a broad number of visitors.

“Whilst organising the Show I am also juggling my role heading up Ipswich-based logistics business, Debach Enterprises. Farming and agriculture has always been a part of my life and I am very proud to have reached where I am in a field which is often seen as male dominated.

“Aside from work, I am also a mother to my two – Perdi aged 11 and Fleur aged 13. I want to show my children that women can succeed in the farming and agriculture industry, and that leadership roles are open to everyone.”
