Fifth SAA Agricultural Awards Evening - 15 July 2017

Since it began five years ago, the annual agricultural awards dinner has grown to become a must-do occasion in the Association’s calendar. The success of the black-tie event has led to an increase in entries for both the Suffolk Farm Business Competition and the Best Alternative Land Enterprise Award.

Judging is now complete for the Suffolk Farm Business Competition, thank you to all the farm businesses who have entered and the winners will be announced at the SAA Awards Dinner on Thursday 19th October.

Entry details for the BALE award will be available in August. Open to all farm businesses throughout Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex with buildings or land on their farms, the annual BALE award is the only one of its type in the region and recognises and rewards imaginative and commercial alternative non-agricultural uses of their land and positive effects on the local economy. Previous winners have included a cheese making enterprise, log cabin holiday accommodation, a wedding and outdoor event venue, as well a farm shop, care home and a nursery.
