Education
Whilst organised by a very small education team in the staffing establishment, our educational activities are only able to succeed through volunteer participation. Volunteers come from a range of backgrounds, some with expert specialist knowledge in our industry, others with different interests and skills but all highly motivated to support events in a range of capacities for example, as hosting stewards guiding children around activities.
Showing children how and where food is grown, how farming and the countryside affects everyday life and inspiring tomorrow’s farmers is all in a day’s work for the education team.
The fun, action-packed year round programme of curriculum based educational activities takes primary and secondary level pupils out of the classroom.
